A Hertfordshire no-nonsense public relations and marketing agency run by a “powerhouse” and a “creative titan” has been nominated for a top industry award.
Strand PR, located in Barkway near Royston, has been named as a finalist in the Social category at The Drum Recommends Digital Awards 2020.
It is a unique awards programme as the nominees are based on client ratings. The winners are determined through ratings provided by customers of each shortlisted agency.
Strand PR, which specialises in public relations and digital marketing, was founded in 2013 by Laura Pearce. She has single-handedly grown the business, having worked with the likes of national challenger banks and international 3D printing firms. She has also helped market companies from within the personal finance, retail and hospitality sectors.
Lockdown hasn’t stopped Laura and her team, and together they worked around the clock with their clients, ensuring their customers were kept up to date about what was happening and how they might be affected.
In addition, the agency launched a free communications support hotline, which provided companies with the opportunity to have a free 15-minute phone call to help them kick-start their marketing and communications amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Sharon Mordecai, managing director of Hitchin-based bookkeeping and payroll specialists Modina, said: “We cannot thank Strand PR enough for the help and support that have provided us with during the COVID-19 crises.
Like the rest of the world we were in a situation that nobody has ever experienced, and it was vital that we communicated with all our clients very quickly to reassure them.
Strand have handled all of our communications to our clients is a fast, imaginative and professional manner.
Many of our clients have contacted to say how impressed they have been and to thank us for the information we have been regularly providing.”
Ivan Titmuss the landlord from the Fox and Duck in Therfield, added: “Strand PR is responsible for at least a 30 per cent growth to my business. My pub has a superior social media following in the area due to their work and creative and strategic ideas.”
Another client, Paul Chambers, said: “Laura is an absolute powerhouse of a women, relentless in delivering the very best service, product, words and imagery. She’s a creative titan, a perfectionist and one of the most hardworking people I know.”
The winners of The Drum Recommends Digital Awards 2020 will be announced during a virtual ceremony during the Agencies 4 Growth Festival on October 21, 2020.
